This is a ten-day retreat designed to help participants discover and integrate spiritual and psychological aspects of their personality through the process of self-awareness. Recorded selections from classical and semi-classical music - mostly Western but partly Indian - will be used to illustrate the mysterious power of music to move us beyond words so as to touch the divinity radiant within. Simple explanations will be given for a better understanding of the pieces selected, but the stress will be on what moves the heart and on personalized rhythmic movement for inner joy. Music-lovers would profit from this course but no specialized knowledge of music is necessary.

Flowing out of specific floor exercises for participants, there will be talks, group discussions and quiet time joined to individualized guidance on what messages our diseases and imaginative fantasies are trying to convey. InterPlay, a holistic spiritual practice to unlock the body wisdom for peace, is being used by families, educators, artists, health professionals, organizations and religious communities worldwide. These one day retreats will introduce participants to some of the basic forms of InterPlay.

Movement Meditation integrates InterPlay with appropriate spiritual practices of the east. Limited number of participants

These basic training retreats will be facilitated by Prashant Olalekar(founder of InterPlay India). The final retreat in January 2010 will be co-facilitated by Trish Watts (co-founder of InterPlay Australia) and Prashant. Those who successfully complete the training will be certified as co-facilitators.

This retreat is part of the Intercultural Exchange for Global Peace (IEGP) programme involving American and Australian InterPlayers. The IEGP programme includes several workshops with activists and professionals, tribals and slum dwellers.

This unique retreat is open to all (priests, religious and laity) It integrates InterPlay/Movement Meditation with the contemporary and traditional readings of all faiths.
